Frederick’s vivid abstractions are born out of the concept: “I listen to good advice and do the exact opposite.” Bold, bright and confident would be an understatement when it comes to his artwork. Born in London, where he still lives, Frederick creates paintings which, in his own words: “No one in their right mind would dare experiment with.”

His influences are derived in part from great masters such as Dali and Rothko, but he shies away from defining the work too closely. Utilising his subconscious within the work has led to a philosophy that the viewer should ultimately determine the work’s meaning.

"Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision." ― Salvador Dalí
